The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT), in collaboration with Visit Oman and OMRAN Group, officially launched the region’s exciting new summer tourism campaign: ‘Live the Vibe’ in Oman.
Coinciding with the start of the Khareef Dhofar season, the launch of the ‘Live the Vibe’ campaign seeks to invigorate domestic and regional tourism within Oman. Targeting visitors from key GCC markets like UAE, KSA, and Kuwait, the campaign shines a spotlight on the Sultanate of Oman’s diverse tourism offerings, solidifying its position as a premier summer destination for both local and regional visitors. The campaign highlights the various attractions that has moderate temperatures including Al Jabal Al-Akhdar, Jabal Shams, A’Sharqiyah South, in addition to indoor entertainment centres, shopping malls and adventure and sea activities.
Haitham Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at MoHT, emphasises, “The ‘Live the Vibe’ campaign goes beyond attracting visitors; it places the power of planning in the travellers’ hands. The all-in-one digital booking platform empowers locals and travellers to craft their ideal itinerary just a click away. Users can explore and book single elements of a trip for complete customisation, or enjoy the convenience of choosing from meticulously curated readymade packages to suit every travel style and preference. Shabib Mohamed Al Maamari, Managing Director of Visit Oman, highlights the platform’s role in supporting local businesses. “Visit Oman’s booking platform provides a comprehensive travel marketplace,” he explains, “where visitors can explore and book offerings from over 100 hotels, and more than 200 authentic experiences, 80% of which are curated by local businesses. This showcases the true breadth and vibrancy of Omani tourism, all readily accessible in one place, and aligns perfectly with Visit Oman’s commitment to empower local tourism providers by increasing their product distribution across source markets.”
