The National Travel Operator – Visit Oman announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with DidaTravel, a leading B2B travel wholesaler. The announcement took place at ITB Berlin, where Oman is taking centre stage as the Official Host Country for the world’s leading travel trade show. The partnership aims to expand in the Chinese market by unlocking cross-selling opportunities and tapping into the growing Chinese travel industry.
The MOU outlines potential areas of collaboration between DidaTravel and Visit Oman, which include DidaTravel offering Visit Oman’s varied portfolio of contracted properties, transfers, and experiences to their extensive B2B network through XML/API integration. Visit Oman will also be able to access DidaTravel’s outbound demand to fulfil the travel needs of Chinese tourists. Additionally, the two companies will embark on joint marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive travel demand from China to Oman.
“This partnership aligns with Visit Oman’s vision to explore new source markets and capitalise on emerging opportunities,” said Shabib Al Maamari, Managing Director at Visit Oman. “DidaTravel’s extensive reach and expertise in the Chinese market will be instrumental in showcasing Oman’s unique offerings to a wider audience and attracting more Chinese travellers.”
DidaTravel, with its robust B2B distribution network and technology-driven systems, presents a significant opportunity for Visit Oman to reach the booming Chinese travel market. “We are thrilled to partner with Visit Oman and leverage our B2B distribution network to introduce the beauty and cultural richness of Oman to our extensive network of travel partners in China,” said Jinyan Li, VP of Global Account Management at DidaTravel. “This collaboration holds immense potential to foster cultural exchange and strengthen ties between our nations.”
